The Cecil County Independent Film Festival strives to provide a platform for local artists to get their films in front of the community. That’s why the film festival committee prioritizes all types of films created by makers from Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania—but they still sprinkle in some international voices, as well.
Be a part of the experience this November when the Cecil County Independent Film Festival returns to the Milburn Stone Theatre near our Chesapeake apartments on the 11th, 12th, and 13th. If there’s something specific on the schedule that catches your eye, you can purchase a single ticket ($10), but day passes and full-festival passes are also options if you’re a dedicated film buff. From full-length fictional stories and documentaries to shorts and animated movies, there’s something for everyone at the eclectic festival. You’ll have a chance to vote for your favorite film when you attend, and you might even get to chat with its maker about their creative process. Awards will be given out at the festival’s end for favorite audience picks and film festival committee selections.
