Newark’s own Midnight Oil Brewing Company, not far from Chesapeake Ridge, is known throughout town for its craft suds. But on Saturdays this fall, it’ll also be known as a haven for fitness lovers! That’s because Barre & Yoga at the Brewery is popping up in the taproom every Saturday morning, kicking off at 9 a.m.
The morning of exercise will feature back-to-back workouts starting with barre. This ballet-inspired form of strength training focuses on small, intense movements designed to build strong and lean muscles. The hour-long barre class flows into a gentler yoga session at 10 a.m., which will have students moving through a mix of Sun Salutations and static poses to bring both calm and heat to the body. You’re welcome to sign up for one ($15) or both classes ($25). Each class includes your choice of a signature brew from the bar, or a cider, wine, or hard seltzer. If you’d rather avoid the booze, try a healthy kombucha instead. RSVP in advance to secure your spot at this Saturday’s Barre & Yoga at the Brewery.
