As the warm weather finally settles in for the next few months, the Havre de Grace Farmers’ Market is buzzing back to life for another bountiful season. It will kick off on Saturday, May 14th under the tent at Hutchins Park, not far from our apartments near Philly. Every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., you’re invited to come and shop for fresh groceries from local vendors—now all the way through December 17th.
Although the exact lineup changes from year to year, you can always expect a wide variety of booths and types of groceries. Of course, locally grown fruits and vegetables are always in stock at the Havre de Grace Farmers’ Market. So are fresh eggs, local honey, and beautiful spring and summer flowers. Need to restock the meat drawer? Find local pork, chicken, and other high-quality meats at the market. You can even grab hot prepared food, like breakfast sandwiches (with a side of coffee, of course). Gourmet cooking oils and baked goods, natural handcrafted soaps, and much more will be available all season long at the outdoor market.
